"Season Two"
The first season of the musical comedy-drama television series Glee's fanfiction spin-off, Glee: The New Years premiered on October 17, 2011 in the United States. Returning main cast members from the previous show include Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison).

This series follows a new generation of students at McKinley High School, set a year after the Class of 2012 graduates. Will Schuester returns to revive Glee Club.

Mischa Barton (Cheyenne McLarson), Rachel Bilson (Anna Clarkson), Luke Bilyk (Daniel Mick), Asher Book (Charlie Holden), Miranda Cosgrove (Addison Lee), Andrew Garfield (Chuck Salvatore), Lucy Hale (Elizabeth Moore), Blake Lively (Claira Kingston), Kellan Lutz (Rick Castello), Matthew Morrison (Will Schuester) and Adamo Ruggiero (A.J. Riley) are introduced as the main characters of this season. Original members from the original series make recurring appearances in the spin-off.

1. "Newbies on the Block" October 17, 2011

Plot: One year after McKinley High School's Class of 2012 graduates, Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) searches for new talent for New Directions with help from its alums. Meanwhile, friendships and rivalries immediately develop between the potential members.

2. "Romantic Perspective" October 17, 2011

Plot: As the glee club continues to grow, Chuck (Andrew Garfield) joins in but for personal motives. Meanwhile, another candidate catches Elizabeth's eye. A.J. (Adamo Ruggiero) develops a romantic interest in Rick, but Daniel interferes with their chemistry.

3. "Dream Chasers" October 18, 2011

Plot: In order to attract more students, the glee club convinces more students to join, but the outcome backfires. Along with this, New Directions meet their competition, The Troubletones. Meanwhile, new member Julian puts the club in a dilemma. Mr. Schuester gives Claira (Blake Lively) an ultimatum.

4. "Triangle of Love"

Plot: Daniel and A.J. vie for Rick's affection, creating a complicated love triangle. Following Claira's reckless behavior, she joins New Directions to avoid trouble. Elizabeth (Lucy Hale) wrestles with her interests in Charlie. Anna sets her sights on a potential member for glee club. 5. "High School of Horrors"

Plot: By Principal Figgins' demand, New Directions are slated to perform at McKinley High's Halloween Bash, but the night goes awry. Meanwhile, Mr. Schuester's longtime friend Chanel (Carmen Electra) arrives for the math teacher position. Anna becomes wary of Chuck's dedication to their relationship.

Plot: Mr. Schuester becomes intertwined in a feud between the boys and girls in New Directions, so he dedicates an entire week to the girls, sans Chuck's disapproval. Also, Chanel becomes the co-director of New Directions, but her warm welcome makes Mr. Schuester jealous. Addison and A.J. spy on their competition, and Anna discovers a compromising position.

Plot: A rift between the boys and girls of New Directions continue as the directors lead a battle bertween the sexes, but this sparks a bigger feud when Anna quits glee club after catching Chuck and Claira in a shocking position. Cheyenne and Daniel's relationship hits an all-time high, but after befriending A.J., he considers otherwise.

Addison and Gunner explore their newfound relationship; Mr. Schuester discovers familiar competition for Sectionals. Neil Patrick Harris, Eve and Cheyenne Jackson make special guest appearances.

Plot: Despite the Christmas spirit, Claira is the humbug and with her behavior, it turns New Directions off. Meanwhile, more glee club alums return to celebrate Christmas and congratulate New Directions on their Sectionals victory. A.J., Rick, and Cheyenne decide to start a charity for the local homeless shelter.

Plot: After an abrupt departure from New Directions, Claira becomes Sue's ally to destroy New Directions, and she makes Cheyenne her protégé. Meanwhile, Daniel’s ex-girlfriend transfers to McKinley High, and Shawn makes his transition to New Directions.

Plot: Mr. Schuester and Chanel start a school production of Hairspray, but Sue plots to sabotage it, and the two's connection gets a little steamy. After Cheyenne's suspension, she returns and makes Lily her newest target. 


12. "World War Chanel" May 6, 2012

Plot: Mr. Schuester and Chanel's actions force Emma to determine the fate of her relationship with him; Chanel's true colors are revealed. Claira unites with an unlikely ally to begin her scheme against Glee Club. A transfer student from Carmel High develops interest in joining New Directions.


13. "School Daze" May 20, 2012

Plot: The glee club ends Will’s state of nostalgic depression with a ‘Blast from the Past’ party. Meanwhile, Charlie and Elizabeth’s relationship is on the rocks. Dougie seeks Chuck for a new friendship; Claira and Julian take on a new plan for their mission against New Directions.


14. "Weekend" June 3, 2012

Plot: With only two weeks before Regionals, Chuck hosts a house party for the glee club, with a few familiar guests. Rick feels neglected by A.J. when his attention goes to Daniel. Chuck and Dougie share an unexpected encounter that may jeopardize Chuck’s reputation. Later on, Chanel’s ex-flame convinces her to flee to New York with him.


15. "Coming Out" June 24, 2012

Plot: Daniel faces public attention towards his closeted sexuality, thanks to Rick’s decision to expose him; he also balances his feelings for A.J. and Cheyenne. Chuck fears the consequences of his sexual affair with Dougie. Elizabeth reaches her breaking point after her break-up with Charlie.


16. "'R.R.R.'" June 25, 2012

Plot: New Directions compete at Regionals against the Dalton Academy Warblers and the Treble Belles. Chuck forces himself to believe that he has feelings for Dougie. Chanel struggles to choose New Directions over New York, and Elizabeth’s new leaf discourages Charlie.


17. "Spread The Love" June 26, 2012

Plot: As Will and Chanel team up with Sue and New Directions to volunteer at the shelter, Cheyenne holds a campaign against homophobia after Daniel is bullied. Anna helps Shawn ask Lily out on a date; Dougie tries to avoid Chuck. Charlie seeks forgiveness in Elizabeth.


18. "Detention" August 3, 2012

Plot: Inspired by The Breakfast Club, this episode focuses on a Saturday detention after an altercation between Cheyenne and Claira. Cheyenne bonds with a troubled student, Ari (actor Tyler Posey). Meanwhile, Rick gains knowledge of Chuck and Dougie’s affair.


19. "Changes" August 20, 2012

Plot: Because of her antics, Claira’s life and future is threatened, and a shocking reveal may change her for better or worse. Chuck and Dougie’s affair is on the verge of exposure, while Will convinces the club to perform songs from underrated artists. Randy interferes with Will and Chanel’s relationship.


20. "Janet"

Plot: Will finds interest in a Janet Jackson week for New Directions; however, the tension between Vocal Adrenaline and New Directions rises. Addison and Gunner share their first time. Janet Jackson makes a cameo appearance.


21. "Love/War" February 2012

Plot: Will finds interest in a Janet Jackson week for New Directions; however, the tension between Vocal Adrenaline and New Directions rises. Addison and Gunner share their first time. Janet Jackson makes a cameo appearance.


22. "Radio City Nights" February 25, 2012

Plot: In the first season finale, New Directions head to New York City for Nationals at Radio City Music Hall. A.J. relives the magic in his hometown, while Will’s focus on Chanel’s departure damages his optimism. Rick and Anna make bold moves after their separations from Daniel and Chuck.
